Welcome to the Odiham Society
The Society seeks to record, protect and enhance the heritage, character and environment of the Parish of Odiham and North Warnborough.
We publish two journals each year and run speaker evenings on local and interesting topics. At these events members meet and enjoy a glass of wine. Visits to places of interest and a Christmas evening complete a busy annual programme of events.
A number of projects are always on the go and we welcome volunteers who wish to become involved.

Humbly Grove, our local oil field.
The Odiham Society is delighted to welcome Yeff Karpushenko, Operations Manager at Humbly Grove Energy Ltd, for an upcoming talk. Based nearby at Lasham, Humbly Grove Energy plays a unique role in local industry by operating a vital gas storage facility, whilst continuing to produce oil. The presentation will guide us through the site’s evolution – from field discovery to development into one of the largest onshore gas storage facilities in the UK.

The Names on the Odiham War Memorial
Odiham’s war dead cover the globe from the Pacific, Mesopotamia, the Balkans, Gallipoli, the Western Front to Odiham.
Simon Lloyd served in the Royal Marines and the Irish Guards in an unusually varied military career. He is a historian, war memorial committee member and former chairman of the Odiham & District Branch of the Royal British Legion

Who owned Odiham and North Warnborough?

The exhibition shows both the wider picture of how the area developed, and who owned both the land and the buildings, going back to the earliest written records.
Almost all houses in the parish have been researched – even if recently built you will find information on how the land was used, what crops were grown and who the farmer was.
Thursdays 2 – 4 pm and Saturdays 10 – 12 noon
and from June to September will also be open Mondays 2 – 4 pm
